PJ has a long-standing presence in the water and wastewater industry. Between 1989 and 1993 he jointly ran HydroCal in the US, a company specialising in industrial wastewater treatment solutions. Returning to Ireland in 1993 he set up Hydro International which has grown organically to become market leaders in the water and wastewater industry both in the domestic and international markets. PJ now resumes the role of Group CEO where his progressive, directive and innovative attributes support the business’ continued growth and development.
Managing Director & Operations Director – Industrial
Brendan Rouse is Hydro International’s Managing Director and has over 20 years’ experience in both the municipal & industrial water & wastewater sectors. With the Hydro team since 2014, Brendan provides valued consulting, support and leadership to the Hydro team and client base. Brendan is responsible for the strategic development and management of Hydro’s various business areas including project delivery, manufacturing and R&D.
Operations Director – Municipal
Andrew joined the Hydro International Management team in 2019 & directs our municipal portfolio. He is a Chartered Engineer and holds a B.Eng. Hons in Civil Engineering & B.Eng. in Civil & Water Engineering. With over 13 years’ experience working in the municipal sector, Andrew has worked on various large water & wastewater infrastructure projects. Andrew has extensive experience in his field and has delivered MEICA / Process design and contract management for numerous projects, some of which have obtained recognition through awards.
Dr. Gary Connor
With over 18 years’ experience within the water & wastewater industry, Gary is Hydro International’s Sales Director. With his extensive experience, Gary provides a collaborative and consultative sales approach – from project scoping and early concept stage development to the design and provision of process-based solutions to meet each individual client’s long-term operational requirements. As part of the firms’ overall strategy and strategic growth, Gary is instrumental in building long-term business partnerships. Gary holds a PhD from the School of Chemical Engineering and MSc. in Environmental Chemistry from Queen’s University Belfast.
International Sales & Bid Manager
Clíonnaidh is International Sales & Bid Manager for Hydro International. She has over 8 years’ experience in pre-contract stage management of municipal & industrial water & wastewater infrastructure projects in both the domestic and international markets. Clíonnaidh’s role includes tender stage design, estimating, technical proposal writing and client engagement and support. Clíonnaidh has a BSc in Environmental Science (Hons).
Imelda is an integral member of the Hydro International team, supporting efficient delivery of Hydro capital projects, fabrication and our operations and maintenance activities. With over 20 years at Hydro International, Imelda manages our supply chain, purchasing, and internal stores. Sourcing material and equipment for both our capital project delivery & fabrication workshops, Imelda has an in-depth knowledge of the supply chain in Ireland, Europe and further afield.
Senior Contracts Manager
Frank has over 15 years’ experience delivering a wide variety of complex Civil & MEICA Engineering Projects. With health, safety, environment, quality & sustainability at the core of delivery operations Frank has key skills in design, construction, project management, leadership and aftersales support. In his role as Senior Contracts Manager, Frank implements the roles of PSDP, PSCS and Principle Contractor on our projects, leading extensive delivery teams in efficient project execution. Frank’s extensive experience is underpinned by his education and training, which includes a B.Eng. (Hons) Civil Engineering, First Aid, PSDP & PSCS Certification.
As Contracts Manager, Michelle has strong and transparent communication skills, an ability to multi-task, stay organised, and build relationships with her clients. She has completed numerous projects from design and build stage through to commissioning and final handover to the Client or Operations team. Key highlights of her management and engineering experience include acting in the role as Contractors Representative on numerous DBO FIDIC and Framework contracts, undertaking Stakeholder Management, Project Management and Contract Management.
Jac is Hydro International’s highly experienced Design Manager, with over 20 years’ experience in design and design management of water & wastewater infrastructure. Jac co-ordinates all design requirements including resources, design detailing, drawing package compilation and fabrication detailing for Hydro and is crucial to the success of our project delivery. Jac is a member of Engineers Ireland, has a Higher Dip Mechanical Engineering and a National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering. Jac has an active engagement in CPD and has completed a Certificate Lean Sigma Quality Green Belt (Level 7), a Higher Diploma in Leadership (Level 8) and Certificate in Science in Water and Wastewater Operation (Level 6).
